Baraza termed the incident as 'unfortunate'
On Thursday Chief Justice Dr Willy Mutunga initiated investigations into allegations that his Deputy Nancy Baraza, brandished a pistol in the face of a female security guard at the Village Market in up market Nairobi Rebecca Kerubo Morara.
And amid this, Rebecca Kerubo Morara, is according to her husband Ogweche Morara demanding a public apology from the Deputy CJ.
When KBC called her home on Friday, Rebecca is said to have been away at work and could not be reached on phone.
Her husband says they opted for due process after meeting the Deputy Chief Justice at Gigiri Police Station.
Morara said the two women in the saga, the Deputy CJ and his wife, ought to find it necessary to forgive one another even as the incident is rather unfortunate.
A petitioner Peter Gichira Solomon has petitioned the Justice Service Commission to remove the DCJ from office. In the petition to the Secretary of the JSC, Gichira argues that the Honorable Deputy Chief Justice failed to uphold the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity as set out in Chapter Six.
He further argues that public dissatisfaction with the way the issue is dealt with may result in lack of confidence in the Judiciary.

  1. The two ladies should be humble enough and stop this show.
