This year’s the ninth edition of Sauti Za Busara festival will feature Kenyan folk artist Ogoya Nengo. It will run from February 8 to12. Ogoya is a legendary act whose immense career spans decades as a professional dodo singer. Her music is characterised by her powerful, passionate and compelling voice, backed by traditional drums and percussions, the one stringed orutu and the oporo horn.
In 2008 at the age of 70 years she had a chance encounter with renowned music producer and promoter, Tabu Osusa of Ketebul Music. Impressed and startled by Ogoya's captivating and mystical voice, Tabu visited her in Rang’ala, where she resides, to invite her to the studio. Ogoya Nengo came with her current team of Margaret Arango, Julianne Akoth, Wilfrida Anyango and Pelisse Achieng’ to lay down the makings of her debut studio album titled Matatu. 
Matatu is in production and set to be released this year. She will share the stage with Nneka ( Nigeria), Tumi and The Volume ( SA) Super Mazembe (DRC / Kenya), Lady Jaydee (Tanzania) and Qwela (Uganda).
