.VICE President Kalonzo Musyoka has began campaigns for his Presidential bid with an intensive tour of Mombasa where he warned Muslim community against engaging in illegal memoranda with politicians
Kalonzo asked Muslims not to be cheated into signing MoUs which politicians have no powers to honour in the coming campaigns.
The VP who is campaigning to succeed President Kibaki urged the muslim community to work with him saying that his chances of winning the Presidency were high.
“I want to urge my Muslim brothers not to be hoodwinked into signing MoUs on issues already guaranteed in the new constitituitions,”Kalonzo said.
The VP told the Muslims that similar MoUs signed in the 2007 elections had not been honoured. He insisted that his journey to statehouse has began and that he was poised to win this time round.
Nominated MP Mohamed Affey who is accompanying Kalonzo in the trip told the Muslims that the VP is a man who can be trusted and asked Kenyans to back him.
Kalonzo,Affey said would become the fourth President of Kenya and called on the Muslim community to join his winning team.
“Last time we made trials, this time we are serious and Kalonzo will be winning,”Affey said.
