Aden Keynan-angling to replace Nyambati
A ROW is simmering within the PNU over who to nominate to take over the party slot in the Parliamentary Service Commission left behind by former Kitutu Masava MP Walter Nyambati who lost his seat in a petition last month.
The party’s deputy chief whip Jeremiah Kioni wants the seat given to Saboti MP Eugene Wamalwa arguing that ODM-K who is also claiming the seat already have the Vice Presidency and the chief-whip’s position and therefore do not deserve the position.
Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka is said to have complained bitterly over the proposal forcing Kioni to write a letter to the clerk advising that the seat will be filled after the by-election is conducted.
“Went want Eugene Wamalwa given the seat so he can become the Vice Chairman of the powerful PSC,”said a PNU insider.
In his letter Kioni said, “This is to advice that we shall fill the PNU slot in the PSC after  the by-elections in Kitutu Masaba”
It has also been mentioned that Kinangop MP David Ngugi and Wajir West MP Aden Keynan have also been mentioned as possible replacement to Nyambati.
The occupant of the seat is expected to take over as the Vice Chairman of the commission normally chaired by the Speaker who is an original ODM member.
In ODM  the party chief whip Jakoyo Midiwo is said to be preparing to nominate Sigor MP Wilson Litole to join the PSC replacing his colleague Julius Murgor who was appointed an assistant minister several weeks ago.
Litole a loyal ODM member is said to have been promised the position to console him for having missed out in the cabinet reshuffle.
