Caddies at the Muthaiga Golf Club are engaged on a casual basis for the players. As much and according to the club policy, the caddies are not provided with meals by the club, the club Chairman Kairu Bachia has told Corridors in response to an item carried in this column on the August 6/7 weekend Star. In the item, the caddies had complained that they could no longer access their favourite ugali at their canteen due to the high cost of maize flour. The canteen is not run by the club, Bachia said.
