PM TO VISIT MERU COUNTY ON SATURDAY 11/6/11

Prime Minister Raila Odinga is this Saturday 11/6/11 scheduled to make an extensive tour of the Meru County.
Mr. Odinga who is also the Orange Democratic Movement –ODM Party Leader is expected to arrive at Amwamba Primary School in Maua at 10.00.am.
He will thereafter head for a leaders’ meeting at the residence of the Igembe South MP Mr. Mithika Linturi where a number of issues will be addressed.
The Prime Minister will later officiate in the ground breaking of Phase 2 of the Meru-Mikinduri-Maua Road before touring the Maua District Hospital.
Later in the afternoon, the Prime Minister will address a Public Baraza at the Maua Stadium before embarking on a roadshow that will go through Muthara-Kianjae upto Makutano.
The party leader’s tour of the Meru County is one of the many planned such tours across the country where he is expected to tour and inspect development projects as well as meet the people of the respective regions as he prepares himself and ODM for next year’s General Election.
According to the Tigania East Sub-Branch ODM Chairman Mr. Mpuru M’Aburi, the ground is set for a grand reception of the Prime Minister and his entourage.
He says, the Ameru people appreciate Mr. Odinga’s struggle for the liberation of the country especially his tireless and selfless efforts that led to the attainment of the new Constitution.
He urged the people of Maua and surrounding areas to turn up in large numbers for the PM’s tour.
