The people of Igembe North who are represented by Mithika Linturi must be reeling from the twists and turns that their MP has been making in the last few weeks. Last week, Linturi once again played host to Raila who was attending a funeral in the MP's backyard. Yesterday, the Kanu MP played host to Ruto and declared himself the "father of UDM!"

A scuffle broke out among ODM party members who attended a strategy meeting in Nairobi. The fight is reported to have been sparked off when a party supporter with deep pockets donated some money for the meeting and the participants were unable to agree on how to share it. There was also the major difference over just how much the supporter with deep pockets donated with some of those involved in the fight claiming it was at least Sh1 million and alleged some of the organisers of the meeting had pocketed some of the cash.
