Share/Save/Bookmark Delays in resolving a dispute filed by some members of the United Democratic Movement at the registrar of political parties is reportedly causing Eldoret North MP William Ruto sleepless nights. His confidants say that Ruto is convinced that a senior member of the G7 Alliance is behind the delay in a ploy to Ruto to join the PNU Alliance which will reduce his bargaining power.

A prominent politician, who had checked into at a prestigious hotel in Central last weekend, was heard telling his subordinates to mobilise youths and “take over the place”. Our mole at the hotel informed us that the politician, who rarely speaks in his mother tongue, was engaged in an animated discussion on his cellphone discussing the take-over tactics. At one time, he went ahead to tell the person on the other side of the line that: Hii chama ni yetu, atuachie chama yetu (This party is ours.He should let us have our party back).

We are told that ODM spent close to Sh20 million in the just concluded Ikolomani constituency seat by election campaigns. Our mole informed us that despite the huge expenditure, the funds did not reach the intended target. One party member of Parliament was overheard regretting that the party had spent so much money and yet failed to capture the seat.

We are informed that KACC has finally zeroed in on  civic leaders who are believed to been used to courier in the money that was being siphoned out of Japan by some people at the centre of the embassy purchase saga. The KACC has asked the Japanese government to provide it with the entry and exit records of the two councillors who reportedly made numerous 'tourist' trips to that country.
