Share/Save/Bookmark The implementation of the new constitution should not be politicised, Eldoret North MP William Ruto said yesterday. He said the process should be delinked from diivisive politics in the coalition government. "The fact that  some members  from the justice and  legal affairs  committee  have divergent views should not stall the process," Ruto said. He claimed some ODM MPs have been threatening a walk out of the committee.
He made the statement in his constituency during a harambee for university and college students. “We are tired of their threats and it is a high time they put the interest  of Kenyans  first before anything else," he told his audience.
Belgut  MP Charles  Keter claimed Prime Minister Raila Odinga betrayed Kalenjin  politicians and that in 2012 they will back their own candidate. He told Ruto to reach to other communities so he can be sure of their backing in the 2012 General Election. Political activist and businessman Don Bosco Gichana said the Kisii are willing to work with the Kalenjin.
