Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua has invited Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta to join the flower party.

In her proposal, the Gichugu MP said Narc Kenya would act as neutral ground on which the she would contest with Mr Kenyatta for the party's presidential nomination.
“He has been asking me to join PNU alliance. But he does not know himself. He is a leader of Kanu which appear to have rejected him and now he is claiming to be a member of another party which has been undergoing metamorphosis. Mr Kenyatta should come to my party which is stable so that we can engage in a fair contest,” she said.
Ms Karua dismissed as untrue accusations by Mr Kenyatta that she was dividing the central Kenya leadership.
“What Kenyatta is accusing me of is false. If anything he is the one creating the division,” she said.
Karua added that Mr Kenyatta should first address the plight of internally displaced persons by allocating them part of the vast estate acquired by his late father.
She accused Mr Kenyatta of riding on the backs of the poor to get to the top “by pretending that he is for the unity of central Kenya".
The Gichugu MP asserted that she will not give up her presidential ambitions and that competitive politics between herself and Kenyatta need not to be seen as disunity.
Mr Kenyatta had last week expressed his dissatisfaction with the Narc Kenya leader whom she accused of dividing Central Kenya leaders.
“Other leaders in Rift Valley, North Eastern and other parts of the country are united except in Central region,” he said and asked Ms Karua to join the PNU alliance so that there will be a nomination to decide who will be the 2012 presidential flag bearer.
