"Liza, you're fired." It couldn't get clearer than that. Our girl Liza Mucheru, the first Kenyan participant in the successful reality show, "The Apprentice", is no longer in contention for a plum job at the Trump empire, though she made it to the last three.
"Outstanding in every way but she lacked the interpersonal skills that would make her suitable for the Trump empire," is what the real estate mogul said of Liza.
The first of the two-part finale on "The Apprentice" saw the firing of Steuart Martens. As the final three waited outside the boardroom, Liza was hyper that, after being attacked in the boardroom so much, she'd made it this far. However, Trump ordered the last three contestants back to the boardroom for a second elimination.
Inside the boardroom, Liza told her potential employer that a win on the show would be a huge boost to her career. Trump told her she'd already had that boost just being on the show, that millions of people have been watching her and love her.
He also told Liza that despite her problems with others, he'd always seen things in her that no one else did. Still, he said, she needed to learn to get along with people better.
He told her she's fantastic in every way, but, he concluded, "Liza, you're fired." She thanked him and left, only later admitting how hard it was to be fired and to hear Mr. Trump's critique.
We are very proud of her and we can bet she will go far.
