Businessman cum politician Gerishon Kirima is dead. He passed on while undergoing treatment at a South African hospital yesterday. His family embroiled in a property tussle spent most of the year fighting for control of his vast property.
Mr Kirima, a former Starehe Member Parliament and long time KANU stalwart had been ailing before a fight for control of his property valued at billions of shillings started between his eldest children and youngest wife.
He is thought to be one of the biggest land owners in the city with his name given to public markets controlled by the City Council. He died at the age of 84 years.
