Leaders back KKK alliance for 2012 poll

Several MPs from Eastern, Central and Rift Valley have supported an alliance between the Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka, Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and suspended Cabinet minister William Ruto.

Speaking at the African Inland Church, Itigo in Nandi County, Mr Elija Lagat (Emgwen) said the International Criminal Court should not be used to eliminate political opponents and those in the presidency race should face one another come 2012.
Mr Jackson Kiptanui (Keiyo South) said Prime minister Raila Odinga should forget Kalenjin votes come 2012.
Mr Isaac Muoki (Kitui South) supported the alliance, saying it was time the three led the country.
Mr Alex Muiru (Tharaka) asked voters in the region not to vote for Raila in 2012, likening him to a donkey that attacks his allies whenever he is done with them.
Mr Ephraim Maina (Mathira) said the Kalenjin, Kikuyu and Kamba leaders will meet to select a single candidate come 2012.
