This year's Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results are out with boys scooping seven positions in the top ten positions nationally. Linus Ngatia Muchiri of Trinity School and Collins Kipchirchir Metto of Moi Kabarak Primary School tied in the first position with a total of 434 marks out of the possible 500.
The top girl, Eleanor Matindi Karungari from Bethlehem School attained 433 marks.
Others who emerged in the top ten positions are: Ochieng Rabin (433), Mutuku Patrick Mumo (432), Matumo Winnie Gatiria (432), Nyang'ate Oprah Omeka (432), Njogu Maina Michael (431), Gichaba Faith Kwamboka (431), Were Navy Silas (431) and Nyabuto Wilbur Omae (431).

Announcing the results on Tuesday morning, Education Minister Prof Sam Ongeri said 1, 103 cases of irregularities were reported.
He said the Kenya National Examination Council (Knec) cancelled the results of the candidates over irregularities.
