The schedule for the Kenya portion of the Biden visit is provided below. Please note all times are approximate and are subject to change.
Tuesday, June 8th – Nairobi, Kenya
In the morning, the Vice President will meet with President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga and they will make a statement to the press.
In the afternoon, the Vice President and Dr. Biden will visit the August 7th Memorial Park and lay a wreath.
In the afternoon, the Vice President will have a courtesy call with Speaker of Parliament Hon. Kenneth Marende and meet with the Reform Caucus of Parliamentarians. There will be a pool spray at the top of this meeting.
Wednesday, June 9th – Nairobi, Kenya
In the morning, the Vice President will deliver a major speech underscoring the importance of the United States-Kenya relations at Kenyatta International Conference Centre.
Thursday, June 10th – Nairobi, Kenya
About mid-day, the Bidens will depart Kenya from JOMO Kenyatta International Airport en route to South Africa.
