The Chair of the African Union (AU) Panel of Eminent African Personalities, former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, plans to visit Nairobi next Sunday to assess the progress of the implementation of reforms under Agenda Item Four of the National Accord.
In press statement, Annan says he looks forward to holding discussions with the two principals as well as members of the Kenya National Dialogue and Reconciliation process during his four-day visit.
Annan says he also intends to exchange views with representatives of civil society, including religious leaders and the business community, and other stakeholders in the country regarding the reform process.
Justice Minister Mutula Kilonzo says Annan is still important in ensuring that issues under Agenda four are addressed.
The former UN Chief last visited Kenya in October last year when he received, on behalf of the Panel, the final report of the Commission of Inquiry into the Post-Election Violence (CIPEV).
