Danson Mungatana Monday said he will table a bill in parliament seeking to amalgamate prosecutorial and investigative powers.
The bill seeks to disband and place the Kenya Anti Corruption Commission KACC under the Attorney General's office to enable the anti graft body to efficiently prosecute corruption cases.
Mungatana was speaking during Transparency International workshop on the investigative and prosecutorial reforms in the country.
Mungatana said the bill seeks to consolidate the functions of investigating, processing and prosecuting crimes under the AG's chambers in order to reduce delays in the administration of justice.
But the Law Society of Kenya (LSK ) Council Secretary Apollo Mboya says the fight against corruption will be won if the KACC will be accorded more powers, including power to prosecute and attach suspects' properties without going though the AG and the courts.
