One person died and 37 others sustained injuries after a trailer loaded with Sulphuric acid collided with a bus in Salgaa along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.
The accident occurred just four kilometers from Sachangwan, where over 100 people lost their lives in an oil tanker tragedy in February.
The two vehicles were reduced to shells after they caught fire on impact.
According to Nakuru Provincial General Hospital Superintendent George Muganya, 27 people sustained minor injuries while 9 suffered chemical burns. Three of the survivors are in critical condition
