  • Suba MP John Mbadi was riled by a response by Mr Duale that the country is under a new President and that each administration “will come with its own people.”
MPs have questioned what they call the mass transfer of civil servants who used to work in the defunct Office of the Prime Minister.
Suna East MP Junet Sheikh Nuh asked the Leader of Majority Aden Duale to explain the transfers, questioning whether they are linked to the controversy that surrounded the hire of a jet that flew Deputy President William Ruto to West Africa.
The MP claims there are attempts by the Deputy President to recruit new staff to take over from those transferred.
He also claimed some staff have been sacked since the Deputy President took over the office.
Details sought by the MP from the Majority Leader include the name, job groups and reasons for the transfer. He also wants the House told the total number of permanent employees transferred.
Suba MP John Mbadi was riled by a response by Mr Duale that the country is under a new President and that each administration “will come with its own people.”
“Our civil servants need to work knowing very well they have security of tenure,” he said. Mr Duale will give a detailed response in two weeks.
