Mudavadi refutes snubbing prayers

By Allan Kisia
Nairobi, Kenya: Amani presidential candidate Musalia Mudavadihas refuted claims that he snubbed a prayer meeting organised byProphet David Owuor at Nairobi’s Uhuru Park on Sunday.
His spokesman, Kibisu Kabatesi, said Mudavadi was unable to attend the repentance meeting for presidential and other candidates because he had a tight schedule of campaigns at the Coast.
Kabatesi however, acknowledged that they received a letter inviting them to the meeting.
“We sent an apology letter to the organisers but it was not acknowledged during the meeting. This could be the reason why it appeared as if we ignored the meeting,” Kabatesi stated.
Safina’s presidential candidate Paul Muite was also missing at the function.
However, his running mate Shem Ochuodho graced the occasion though he was not given a chance to address the gathering.
When contacted, Dr Ochuodho said they too had sent a letter of apology. “We had apologies but nobody acknowledged during the function,” he stated.
