OFFICIAL: Mary Wambui to succeed Kibaki in Othaya on a TNA ticket

Thursday November 1, 2012-News trickling in indicates that Party of National Unity (PNU) activist Mary Wambui has now declared that she will be vying for Othaya parliamentary seat in the upcoming election.

Wambui who is a “close friend” of the first family declared on Thursday that she will vie for the seat on Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta’s party, The National Alliance (TNA) ticket.

Wambui who has no University degree opted to go for the parliamentary seat instead of the women's representative post as she had earlier announced, since the latter has many conditions including a requirement that an aspirant must have a recognized University degree.

The Othaya parliamentary seat has been occupied by President Kibaki for over 40 years and if Wambui captures the seat it will be a clean sweep for President Kibaki who has already endorsed her!

President Kibaki is the longest serving MP followed by Tinderet MP Henry Kosgei.
