Between Mama OLIECH and KCB ….. Who is LYING???

Friday, November 02, 2012 - The court case involving the Kenya Commercial Bank and Kenya international footballer Dennis Oliech’s mother, took another twist yesterday, after the bank surrendered the title deed of the property in contention to Oliech’s mum.

As commercial division judge Joseph Mutava heard, KCB did so after Mary Auma Oliech went to the bank’s branch at Prestige Plaza and caused pandemonium following the decision by the bank to hold onto the document over a reported Sh 2 million loan.

The bank’s lawyer Philip Nyachoti confirmed this saying, “the respondent went to the bank and demanded back the document and the institution had no choice but to give it to her,”
A couple of weeks ago, Nyachoti endured Auma’s wrath in a Nairobi court accusing him of interfering with her family after it emerged that the bank wanted to sell her Dagoreti property valued at over Sh.40m to recover the Sh.2m owed.

However, a family source denied that Auma ever borrowed such an amount and that she wanted to sell the property and relocate to the countryside, a move that was opposed by her two siblings, Elsie and Kennedy Oliech who claimed that the property was bought by their brother Dennis for the family hence they are beneficiaries.

The case was adjourned to December 3rd.
