What is happening at University of Nairobi’s Chiromo Campus?

What is happening at University of Nairobi’s Chiromo Campus?

Saturday, August 25, 2012 - In 2008 K.C.S.E. results Jason Ochieng a former student at Mang’u boys’ High School in Thika emerged as a top student in the school and was later admitted at the University of Nairobi for a Bachelors of Medicine at the Chiromo campus.

The third year student who according to friends appeared disturbed and depressed went missing two months ago and reports on his disappearance have been published in local dailies and actually on strategic places at the streets of Nairobi.

Two months down the line Ochieng’s family is yet to lose hope of finding their son dead or alive. Colleagues at the Chiromo campus said the last time they saw him was on June 29 as he approached the subway that connects the school and their hostel area.

Ochieng has never been seen since then and police searches have turned futile. The family of Ochieng travelled from Kisumu and is still paying vigil at Nairobi with the hope of seeing their son one day.

A few years back another bright student at the same campus disappeared mysteriously and was later found at Mombasa with no recollection of what had happened to him for over 6 months.

When the student was found he wore exactly the same clothes as he wore on the day he disappeared at the subway. All he remembered was a phone number and he claimed he was in Tanzania. Efforts to recover his memory are still underway as he is still undergoing therapy.

Ochieng’s family is pleading with the public with any information regarding the disappearance of Ochieng to kindly help in the search.
