SHAME: Police hunting for DC Chege of Borabu District


Thursday August 16, 2012 - News just in indicates that Borabu District Commissioner Patrick Chege is being sought by Kenya Anti Corruption Commission (KACC) officials for bribing army officers with Sh 40,000 during the armed forces recruitment in Borabu district.

According to the army officer who received the bribe, the DC was accompanied by his body guard to where he allegedly gave a Sh 40,000 bribe so that his son can be recruited into the armed forces.

The army officer notified KACC and they have launched a major manhunt for the DC.

According to the new Constitution it is illegal for any public officer to accept or receive a bribe and if found he/she may serve a jail sentence of a period not exceeding 10 years.
