ODM advises their youth to let MIGUNA sell his book FREELY

Monday August 27,2012 - A day after former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Coalition Advisor Miguna Miguna was beaten severely by hired ODM youths in Mombasa, ODM Secretary General prof Anyang Nyong’o  has urged party supporters to allow Miguna sell his book saying the author was exercising his democratic right.

Nyong’o, who is also the Medical Services Minister, said it is against the Constitution to deny Miguna the fundamental freedom of expression.

“You should let him sell the book in peace as he needs the money and it is his constitutional right to sell and market his book,” Nyong’o said.

Nyong’o’s remarks were also echoed by Finance Minister Njeru Githae who said Kenyans should let Miguna sell his book freely.

On Saturday, during his launch of his controversial memo Peeling Back the Mask: Quest for Justice in Kenya, Miguna was severely beaten by hired ODM goons for tainting the name of PM.

It is alleged that former Kenya National Human Rights Commissioner (KNHRC) Omar Hassan and Kisauni MP Hassan Joho financed the youths to disrupt the launch of the controversial memoir at Castle Royal Hotel in Mombasa.

Miguna is expected this morning in Nyeri Town where a red carpet welcome has been arranged.
