MIGUNA MIGUNA to run for PRESIDENT?

MIGUNA MIGUNA to run for PRESIDENT?

Wednesday August 29, 2012 - Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Coalition Affairs adviser Miguna Miguna has said he may vie for presidency of this country in future.

Speaking to thousands of his supporters in Nyeri town, Miguna said he is not ready to join politics but he might be forced to do it after the next general election.

“I am not running for presidency next year but I cannot rule out any other time,” Miguna told jubilant residents who asked him to walk around the town.

Business came to a stand- still as thousands of Nyeri residents escorted him.

In his speech, the chest thumping author of the book Peeling Back the Mask: A Quest for Justice in Kenya said it is his constitutional right to express his opinion and he will not be cowed.

“I did nothing wrong in writing the book. Everybody has the freedom of expression, speech and freedom of association. I will not be intimidated or cowed by anybody,” Miguna said.

Nyeri Mayor Edward Muteru who was the chief event organiser said Miguna has informed Kenyans of the dark side Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Kenyans are now more careful.
“Miguna is our savior, we shall support your initiative,” the mayor said.

Would you support Miguna Miguna’s initiative of vying for presidency?
