MAINA Njenga BETRAYED after his PARTY supports UHURU

Tuesday August 14, 2012 - Politics of betrayal and thuggery have marred the ongoing presidential campaigns, after Maina Njenga’s party Mkenya Solidarity Movement, declared their support to Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta’s presidential quest.

Speaking in Rumuruti on Monday, Party Chairman G.G Kariuki said the decision was reached after realising that The National Alliance (TNA) party had a national appeal from a majority of Kenyans especially from Mt Kenya region.

This comes barely a day after Maina Njenga announced his bid to run for presidency in the upcoming election using Mkenya Solidarity Movement party which he launched with colour and pomp at Nairobi’s Kamkunji grounds.

Speaking at his church on Sunday, the former Mungiki leader said he will vie for Presidency and nothing will stop him.

Maina who is a key ally of Prime Minister Raila Odinga said he wants to battle it out with Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta in Central Kenya to prove who is popular in the region.
