ANYANG’ Nyong’o enters the Kisumu Senate race

Tuesday August 7, 2012 - Medical Services Minister Prof Anyang Nyong’o has thrown his hat into the Kisumu Senate race.

Prof Nyongo, who is also Kisumu Rural MP, told Kisumu residents at the weekend that he would officially launch his bid on August 17.

“I have come to seek support from people of Kisumu County as I have declared my bid to become a Senator,” he said.

The Minister has been lately on headlines in connection with disappearance of millions of shillings belonging to the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF).

Nyong’o who is the ODM Secretary General will face off with Maxwell Odongo and Mr George Weda.
