2 DEAD bodies discovered in the COPTER WRECKAGE

Tuesday, August 14, 2012 - News trickling in indicates that two bodies of the 14 member crew who were part of a troop of 28 that left Uganda early on Sunday headed for Somalia where they were to provide reinforcement for the AMISOM forces fighting the Al Shaabab terror group, have been found by the search team on ground.

Yesterday after the recovery of two helicopters, Ugandan authorities said that two more copters were missing. The Ugandan military helicopters were found today in the morning at a remote area deep in the forest region of Mt. Kenya. The planes are reported to be completely burnt down and the fate of the 12 member crew is still unknown though they are feared dead.

The planes have been found two days after they were reported missing on Sunday. According to Ugandan authorities, four helicopters commonly referred to as crocodiles due to their camouflage in nature, left Soroti Flying School in Eastern Uganda on Sunday but later lost transmission on Kenyan soil.

Kenyan Army spokesman Bogita Ongeri who is among the search team has confirmed that they have found the helicopters.
