Following passage in Parliament, President Mwai Kibaki has assented 15 constitutional bills into law setting the pace for radical reforms. The bills are the Commission on Administrative Justice Bill, 2011, the Commission on Revenue Allocation Bill, 2011, the National Government Loans Guarantee Bill, 2011,the Contingencies and County Emergency Funds Bill, 2011 and the National Police Service Bill, 2011. Others are the Political Parties Bill, 2011, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Bill, 2011, the Elections Bill, 2011, the Industrial Court Bill, 2011 and the National Gender and Equality Commission Bill, 2011. And finally the Kenya National Human Rights Commission Bill, 2011, the Kenya Citizenship and Immigration Bill, 2011, and the Environment and Land Court Bill, 2011, the Power of Mercy Bill, 2011 and the Urban Areas and Cities Bill, 2011. |
