Eastern Produce Tea Company of Kenya director Joseph Lagat was making his appeal to the youths who looted property in parts of North Rift during the 2007/08 post-election violence.
He told them that Kenyans have a right to stay and work in any part of the country.
Mr Lagat asked Nandi elders to help cleanse the youths ahead of the next poll so that they have good families and bear normal children without curses.
Mr Lagat, who is the patron of youths from Nandi County, asked the government to deal with issues facing youths in the country. He asked MPs to come up with projects that would help youths start small businesses.
Mr Lagat and Uasin Gishu   politician  Jackson  Kibor said the post-election violence should not have occurred had the government created jobs for the youths.
Mr Kibor asked Kenyans to vote for development-oriented leaders.
Like Mr Lagat, Mr Kibor told youths to stop being used by politicians to cause chaos.
