Postmorten results indicate Wanjiru suffered trauma before death

Police and patholigists are headed for the late Samuel Wanjiru's Nyahururu home to gather clues on his cause of death

Preliminary postmortem results on the body of the Olympic Marathon champion Samuel Wanjiru reveal that he may have died from injuries sustained on the head and other parts of the body.

75 percent of the independent probe by private pathologists reveals that the late Marathoner sustained several injuries and suffered trauma before he succumbed to injuries.

The police and pathologists from the Lee funeral Home are scheduled to visit the Nyahururu home, where the incident took place, to be able to give its final report.

After hours of examination at lee funeral home in Nairobi, the pathologists could not give a complete report on the cause of wanjiru's death pending a visit to the scene of the incident.

Triza Njeri the wife of the late Olympic Champion, his mother Hannah Wanjiru and other women claiming to be Wanjiru's wives, were in a pensive mood as they walked in  and out of Lee Funeral Home monitoring the post mortem exercise.

Triza insists she is the late Kamau Wanjiru's legal wife dismissing the other two women who have staked their claim as the late Kamau's wives.

But amidst the probe into his death, the twists and turns witnessed since his death mount with a third man now emerging to claim he is Kamau's father.

Last week Wanjiru's Mother Hannah Wanjiru denounced Elijah Chebon and Peter Kimani Kirihinya both of whom had claimed to be Wanjiru's fathers.
