We should coronate Osama ‘king’ in war against Western imperialism

Last Sunday at a rally in Murang’a, Finance Minister Uhuru Kenyatta was enthroned an elder of the Agikuyu. In his ‘majesty’s’ maiden speech Uhuru roared, "We (Kikuyu) will not allow ourselves to be killed just because we do not follow our leaders. Those who fail to do this we will follow them to their homes and expose them as the ones who are betraying us. We will say, see this person is the one who is failing to work with us."
Never mind that the National Cohesion and Integration Commission has not summoned him over his remarks. The NCIC is realistic! It is unlikely he will honour this kind of summons. Uhuru decries the pattern of Os behind his woes! Obama, Ocampo and Odinga, not the ‘traitors’! These agents of Western imperialism conspired to fix some of our prominent sons. The imperialists want to take over Kenya through Raila Odinga. Mzee Kenyatta led our struggle for independence from British colonial rule. His son is leading the ‘resistance’ from Western imperialism and neo-colonialism engineered through the International Criminal Court. We certainly owe this gene of liberators.
Now, this is the imperialist plot. Moreno-Ocampo in conspiracy with Obama and Odinga instigated the Pre-Trial Chambers of the ICC to issue summons against Uhuru and five others on allegations of crimes against humanity. Yet there is no evidence!
Just Raila in cahoots with his cousin in Washington whispering to Ocampo! Are Kenyans expected to fall for this? They certainly do take us for idiots.
The Pre-Trial Chambers stated it "is satisfied that there are reasonable grounds to believe that Uhuru is criminally responsible" for five counts of crimes against humanity. These crimes include murder, forcible transfer, rape, inhumane acts and persecution. This is the reality of the legal process. These are hardly the sort of crimes one politicises, chest thumbs, and blames on Western imperialism. Someone is responsible for the violation of Kenyans. We cannot continue to be a nation that rewards crime. Crime must be punished and impunity must end. Simple!
Osama bin Laden as the mastermind of terrorism, acts in the name of Islam. I trust that of similar scale are crimes against humanity. The world has ‘ganged up’ to punish all forms of senseless violence meted on innocent people. The over 1,300 Kenyans who lost their lives following the disputed 2007 presidential election are innocent and deserve justice.
Apparently, Bin Laden is also fighting against Western imperialism. He justifies his actions on the killing, suffering and subjugation of the Palestinian people and Muslims the world over. Reasonable! In similar circumstances, we must then coronate Bin Laden as Elder-in-Chief. This will "unite our people" so as not to "allow ourselves to be killed". How can such a rationale bear merit! It illustrates to you the hollowness of some of our ‘leaders’. They will argue why the killers of Iraqis and Palestinians have not been brought to justice? As if they ever cared! And that the ICC is an imperialist court.
Nonetheless, I have hope in justice. On March 29, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda sentenced Jean-Baptiste Gatete, a former Director of the Ministry of Family Affairs to life imprisonment for his role in the 1994 Rwandan genocide. Seventeen years on, justice has not relented. I am confident that those who violate others, including the butchers of Iraqis and Palestinians, will be brought to book no matter how long it takes! But now is the turn for the ‘Ocampo Six’. We have you surrounded, drop your weapons!
