He said the leaders had stopped exhibiting “power of example” and instead engaged in selfish politics where they made derogative utterances. Kiyiapi said it was unfortunate that Kenya had allowed its citizens to be tried at The Hague because “the judicial system in Kenya is wanting”.
He said if we had put our house in order by cultivating National Cohesion and strengthen our institutions namely Parliament, the Judiciary and the Executive, our people and the nation would not have suffered in the hands of ICC.“If we had a credible judicial system, our people would not be in Hague,” said the Ps who was flanked by Mary Hill Girls’ high school principal Imelda Barasa and BOG chairperson Felista Olchurie. He said the country and her people were now yearning for healing, reconciliation and forgiveness.
