Petrol River

There was much rejoicing when residents of Nyamasaria in Kisumu woke up to find a seasonal river had ‘miraculously’ turned into Super petrol. With motorcycle taxis providing a ready market, a brisk trade was carried out as the petrol, from a tanker that had overturned upstream, was easily separated from the stagnant waters and sold for a song.
