Police Commissioner Mathew Iteere said claims by some politicians that the mercenaries were even planted in Whitesands Hotel during Raila's recent visit to the Coast were false. "We wish to inform that the PM has been assigned adequate security and any person who becomes cognisant of a security threat should make a report to his security detail for immediate action," said Iteere
Iteere said he had talked to Israel embassy officials who assured him before last evening's address that there were no Israel nationals by the names Paul and Thomas who were in the country to stalk the PM.
Meanwhile police have dismissed claims by nominated MP Millie Odhiambo that she was robbed while visiting her home in Mbita. Police headquarters released the MPs programme on the day she claims to have been robbed and concluded that her case raises more doubts.
Police investigating the case claimed the MP and other occupants in her car still had their phones and bags despite statements that they had been robbed at night after being dropped off at the Icipe Guest House in Mbita.
