Mr Namwamba had requested the Chair to be given more time to finish its job of looking into the nominations of Mr Justice Alnashir Visram to be Chief Justice, Prof Githu Muigai (Attorney General) and lawyer Kioko Kilukumi (Director of Public Prosecutions).
Granting the request, Mr Marende told the Namwamba team to stick to the new deadline and ensure a report, whether it is an interim, minority or majority one is tabled.
Earlier, Finance, Planning and Trade Committee chair Chris Okemo had tabled the report on the nomination of William Kirwa as the Controller of Budget.
