Referendum Case Dismissed

The constitution referendum set for Wednesday got the greenlight after the Interim Independent Constitutional Dispute Resolution Court threw out a case seeking the postponement of the exercise. The case had been filed by civil activist Okiya Omtata and 4 others who wanted the referendum stopped, alleging that the committee of experts, the attorney general and the interim independent electoral commission had engaged in partisan civic education campaigns.
