11 companies behind Lamu land grab not registered

President Uhuru Kenyatta flanked by Deputy President William Ruto speaks to Lamu leaders at a follow up meeting in State House, Nairobi before witnessing the signing of a 3-berth port construction contract between the Central Government and the China Communications Construction Company.

At least 11 companies allocated land in Lamu Port are not registered with the Registrar of Companies.
The eleven were allocated half, 200,000 acres, out of the 500,000 acres illegally allocated Lapsset land.
The government on Friday released names of those behind the 22 companies that allegedly grabbed land in Lamu.
Some of the companies were allocated more than one piece of land.
