Miley Pulls No Punches — With Herself and the GOP

Miley Cyrus’s highly anticipated “SNL” hosting gig didn’t disappoint – she spent half the show poking fun at herself. The 20-year-old’s cold open imagined a post-Apocalyptic America, all due to the destructive force of her raunchy “VMA” performance. Looking back at that fateful day, young Miley explains her excessive tongue action to “Old Miley” (played, of course, by Vanessa Bayer): “tiny strokes, yo,” has a creepy run-in with Robin Thicke, and even Will Smith shows up. A few skits later, Cyrus stars as Michele Bachmann alongside John Boehner, played to golden-orange perfection by Taran Killam, to spoof her late-night party video “We Won’t Stop” and the government shutdown, while a sad Obama longingly watches the fun. #WeCanStop quickly made the rounds on Twtter, and — consider yourself warned— we’ll never see Boehner’s backside the same way again.
