THE suspected Kisumu serial killer Harrison Okumu was yesterday handed over to Kisumu detectives and is expected to be charged with murder on Monday.
A team of CID officers led by Mombasa DCIO Nyaga Gachungi yesterday transferred Okumu to Nairobi by road under tight security and handed him to their Kisumu counterparts.
“We expect him to be charged on Monday after undergoing psychiatric examination to determine if he is fit to stand trial,” said Gachungi .
Okumu, 25, has been on the run since last week after he was linked to the deaths of six people in his Ahero village home, Kisumu county.
