Kalembe sets out on campaign trail

TIP TIP leader Kalembe Ndile has begun his campaigns for the vacant Kibwezi West seat. On Sunday, Kalembe toured Mbui Nzau, Kibwezi Township, Kalulini, Kisayani, Kasemeini and Siembeni.
He said he had worked closely with Cord leadersand will continue doing do if elected on a TIP ticket. Kalembe was accompanied by county Wiper co- coordinator Mailu Makena, district youth representative Mutune Ndolo and local politician Kilonzi Ndena.
He said immediate former MP Patrick Musimba did nothing to help residents and does not deserve re-election. "Musimba could have at least stood up for teachers who went on a national strikebut he did not," said Kalembe.
He said if elected, he will ensure boreholes are dug in the area to end the water crisis. "I will sink boreholes and install water pumps to serve you when seasonal rivers dry up," Kalembe said.
He said the youth need to be computer literate and promised to sponsor some to attend computer classes if elected. Makena said Kalembe had pledged to work closely with former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.
"Some people thougt Kalembe could not support a Wiper candidate, you saw he joined Raila and Kalonzo in the Makueni senatorial by-election," he said.
