Dr Owuor’s meteoric rise to fame

Nairobi, Kenya: Born in Goma village, Usenge in Bondo District in 1966, Dr David Edward Owuor has turned up to be a prophet believed by many.
Dr Owuor, a second born in a family of six sisters and three brothers, had humble beginnings. His father Mr Helekia Owuor was a civil servant, who worked with East African Community Prison Service to the level of a sergeant.
He attended Wambasa Primary School in Yimbo and later schooled at various institutions in Uganda including Jusa, Luzira and Kitalya.
He later joined Mbale Senior Secondary School for O-level education before proceeding to St Peter College in Tororo for his A-level. Owuor then joined Makerere University for Bachelor of Science Degree but afterwards moved to University of Nairobi where he completed his first degree in 1988.
In 1992, he joined Ben Gurion University of Negev in Israel for his Masters degree.
Next Moses
Dr Owuor is a former professor of medicine at the University of Oklahama in US.
After he acquired his doctorate in Israel, he said God was calling asking him if he remembered ‘Moses’ and he returned to be the next Moses to save God’s people on Earth.
Prophet Owuor is a renowned preacher who attracts large number of believers because of his repentance message in his church known as Ministry of Repentance and Holiness. People from different regions and the world gather to listen to his message.
While preaching, doves are reported to fly past him, with the rainbow also appearing, which he refers to as a sign of God’s presence and indication of his covenant with him.
His repentance message has been accepted in the country and worldwide. At one time, he was criticised when he prophesised an earthquake would hit the country. Some of his predictions have come to pass.
