RAILA still leads as UHURU closes the gap …. In a run-off UHURU will beat RAILA




Tuesday November 20, 2012 - According to the latest poll by Ipsos Synovate group, Prime Minister Raila Odinga is the most popular candidate followed closely by Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta if elections are held today.

Raila Odinga leads with 33 percent, Uhuru Kenyatta, 26 percent; Eldoret North MP William Ruto comes third with 9 percent, Kalonzo Musyoka 8 percent, Musalia Mudavadi 4 percent, Peter Kenneth 3 percent, Martha Karua 2 percent and Eugene Wamalwa 1 percent.

The pollsters also indicated that, Ruto, Kalonzo Mudavadi, Kenneth and Martha popularity rose slightly while Raila and Uhuru popularity declined slightly.

In case of a Presidential runoff Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta will beat Raila Odinga with a small margin.

The finding shows that in case of a runoff Uhuru will garner 46 percent against Raila 42 percent.

Only Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta would beat Raila Odinga in a runoff, this analysis does not take into account running mate equation.
