RAILA Odinga courting Musalia MUDAVADI to form an alliance

Sunday November 4, 2012 - Prime Minister Raila Odinga is wooing Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi to re-unite and form an alliance with him ahead of the March 4th general election, DAILY POST has established.

Planning Minister Wycliffe Oparaya revealed to the DAILY POST on Saturday that, the PM has been persuading Mudavadi to form an alliance with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to secure the Western bloc in the upcoming general election.

The Minister who is also the Butere MP, said the PM is keen on ensuring votes from the region were not divided.

“We are not asking Mudavadi to dissolve his party but to join ODM as a coalition partner,”Oparanya said.

He said ODM is looking for like minded individuals to form a coalition that will guarantee victory in March 4 general election.

“Plans are underway for a coalition between ODM and other viable individuals with Mudavadi United Democratic Forum (UDF) being our target,”Oparanya said.
