UHURU and RUTO get support from unlikely quarters ……. President Paul KAGAME

Friday October 19, 2012 - Rwanda president Paul Kagame on Thursday led scathing attacks to the International Criminal Court (ICC) terming it as political tool used by Western countries to fulfill their ill motive agendas.

Kagame said The Hague based court is a new form of imperialism created by the West to control the world's poorest countries.

“The court "has been put in place only for African countries, only for poor countries," Kagame to said giving example to four Kenyans suspects.

"Every year that passes, I am proved right," he added. "Rwanda cannot be part of that colonialism, slavery and imperialism."

Kagame said the case concerning four Kenyans is a wider plan by the Western countries to push their selfish agenda before the forthcoming general election.

He urged African countries to pull out of the court, saying African sovereignty is of major importance than fulfilling Western countries agendas.

Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta, Eldoret North MP William Ruto, former Head of Civil Service Francis Muthaura and radio presenter Joshua Sang were indicted by the Hague based court  for crimes against humanity and their trial begins in April next year.
