Njoki NDUNG’U to succeed Nancy BARAZA!

Friday October 19, 2012 - Romour has it that Supreme Court Judge Lady Justice Susanna Njoki Ndungu, has been touted as the possible replacement for Deputy Chief Justice Nancy Baraza who resigned on Thursday for her demeaning behaviour to the Judiciary.

According to sources within the Judiciary, Njoki who is widely known for her efforts in the successive enactment of the Sexual Offences Act 2006 and Maternity and Paternity Act 2007, has been named as the probable successor to Ms Nancy Baraza.

Njoki holds a degree in Law from University of Nairobi. She also holds a Masters of Law (LL.M) in Human Rights and Civil Liberties from the University of Leicester and a diploma in Women’s Human Rights from the World University Services, Austria.

Currently Njoki is serving as a Judge at the Supreme Court of Kenya.
