Thursday October 18, 2012 - Eldoret North MP William Ruto is running out of cash for his presidential campaigns, DAILY POST has established.

Currently, Ruto has set a maximum of Sh 400,000 in campaign money per rally which is not sufficient for a presidential campaign.

Our mole in United Republican Party (URP) has intimated that Ruto went to former President Moi’s operative Joshua Kulei on Tuesday last week on his wider plan to beg cash from the billionaire where he met with Prime Minister Raila Odinga in Kulei’s house.

“The fact is that William Ruto does not have enough money to carry out an effective presidential campaign. That is the main reason why he went to Kulei’s house in a bid to raise cash for the campaign,” the source said.

“As of now, he has set a limit of Sh 400,000 per rally, which is ridiculously insufficient for a presidential campaign.” He added.

It is not clear how much money Kulei pledged to give the distressed Ruto, but we have established that Kulei has always been of help to distressed politicians and their political parties for example when he gave ODM 56 million during the last elections.
