Thursday, the 18th of October 2012 -The Kenyan DAILY POST has just received word that Oburu Odinga (elder brother of ODM presidential candidate Raila Odinga) has abandoned his plans to vie for the Siaya Senatorial seat in favour of James Orengo.
This is a good development for ODM since the rivalry between the pair could have easily created a schism in party.
It also puts an end to speculation that Orengo, a prominent Raila loyalist, would ditch the party for fear that he could not win a one-on-one match-up with Oburu at the party nomination stage.
