Thursday, the 18th of October 2012 -The Kenyan DAILY POST has received reports that a Kenya Defense Forces officer has shot and killed himself at the army’s Garissa base.
A source has said that an investigation into the matter has already been launched.
As yet there is no information on why the officer ended his life in such a brutal fashion.
The news comes as the country last weekend fated the KDF officers for a year of successes in the war against the Al Shabaab in neighboring Somalia. Chief among the successes of the army is the ouster of the Al Shabaab militia from their stronghold of Kismayu.
